Following an expectation-exceeding inaugural event in February, I knew we had to make our second installment a smashing success in order to please the crowd and keep the momentum going into v3.0.
Luckily, I wasn’t alone in this mission…
First, I had an awesome team of volunteers step to the plate to help make everything run smoothly. The least I can do is give a big shout out to this group of super-supporters, who gave their time out of a sheer love for our community. So when you see these folks around town, make sure to give them a high five: Becca, Cali, Pedro & Ryan.
Next on the list: the demo companies. Not only did they show us a wide variety of exciting products and services, they expressed their appreciation to the crowd by giving away swag, coupons for their services, cupcakes, drinks, and even cash money!
Of course, BoulderBeta is made possible by the support of it’s sponsors. And I couldn’t ask for a better group of people. While the sponsor companies shell out the dough, it must be recognized that there are individuals within those companies who have decided to champion their efforts internally. I personally thank Paul of Softlayer, Alex of Google, Dave of Technical Integrity, Charlie of Silicon Valley Bank, and Eric of Posterbrain.
A few random thanks…
…go to the guys at Meeps for surprising us with these little guys. Make sure to look for a beta invite, if you signed up, and in true Boulder fashion, use their app and provide feedback so they can improve and grow!
…and to Dejay from GottaRubIt, for taking lots of awesome pics. Help his company raise money for the orphans of the world through humor and spice rubs!
And last but certainly not least – YOU – the people who make our community what it is. Students, faculty, entrepreneurs, startup employees, investors, service providers, and startup junkies at large showed up in droves to support our efforts.
I look forward to bringing it again at v3.0 in June – expect the demos, give aways, and all-around fun to keep on rollin’!

Hey Tim,
It was my pleasure to work as a volunteer. The event was great and the more we can help on bringing the community together, the better.
Looking forward to help on V3!
Best,
Pedro
It was an awesome event and we were thrilled to be a part of it! Thanks for all your hard work, Tim!
